THE CHALLENGE
A $2 billion dollar, mid-size food company, wanted to develop relationships and position itself as a positive, solutions-oriented partner to the new Trump Administration.

We advised the company through an Invest in America expansion proposal that resulted in an invitation for the company CEO to participate in a White House, 100-day event with other CEOs and the full cabinet This included an Oval Office exchange with the President.
RESULT
The company communicate directly at the highest levels with the Administration about its nutrition agenda and economic expansion incentives and going forward.

Mid-size Private University
THE CHALLENGE
A mid-size private university wanted to position itself to receive federal research dollars available through the CHIPS and Science Act and administered by the Department of Commerce.
THE ACTION
We worked with the university president and the vice president for research to place university leadership on key Department advisory committees and to engage formally and informally to be apprised of funding opportunities.
THE RESULT
The university received research funding dollars and positioned the university and region for funding in the areas of chips, AI, and quantum computing.

International Franchise Company
THE CHALLENGE
A US-based franchise, looking to establish new overseas markets, needed to develop a good understanding of the regulatory risk in entering particular overseas markets.
THE ACTION
We worked with the company to analyze various markets for both investment risk and regulatory risk for product importation looking forward five years.
THE RESULT
Relying on the analysis, the franchise was able to enter new markets based on a more sophisticated understanding of the investment and regulatory risks.

Global Food Manufacturer
THE CHALLENGE
Facing consumer demand for organic, non-gmo and local food products across international markets, a food products company needed assistance in navigating the intersection of consumer expectation, emerging regulatory requirements and supply chain sourcing requirements.
THE ACTION
Based on experience with the regulatory environment for food manufacturing and labeling, we provided education, training and a report on current regulations and future trends in claims to guide the company in developing its strategic plan for regulatory compliance to meet consumer demand in this grocery sector.

The company is better able to make product manufacturing, sourcing and labeling decisions based on a good understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements, thus avoiding costly mistakes.

A large company with manufacturing both in the US and other large markets, wanted to develop a detailed and long term strategy for meeting with key US policy makers.

We worked with the company on a mapping exercise including media, trade associations, NGOs, Congressional delegations and agency officials and a timeline and strategy for meeting with each group.

The company developed a strong network allowing for a more prevention oriented and less reactive government relations approach.

Import Trade Company
THE CHALLENGE
A US importer trade association faced a potential increase in tariffs and regulatory restriction on imports based on potential changes in an international trade agreement.
THE ACTION
Working through powerful industry coalitions and directly with US officials and Members of Congress, we changed the narrative on the role of imports to show job creation, increased consumer choice and lower prices for consumers.
THE RESULT
By moving the needle on the views held by opinion makers, legislators and government officials about imports of this product, we significantly decreased the risk of restriction being placed on these imports as part of the trade agreement negotiation. harmonization and clarity on internet privacy was obtained.
